Botox and Filler at Pink Ivy.jpg

When people think of anti-aging solutions like cosmetic injections, Botox ® is often the first thing that comes to mind.  For many years, Botox® was the most popular option for cosmetic injections.  Today, Botox® is still a great choice for specific areas of the face.

But, we can’t forget about dermal fillers!  Dermal fillers are another tool in our anti-aging arsenal that help to add volume and fill in specific areas of the face.  Fillers can also be used on various parts of the body.

So, when it comes to the questions of which is better Botox® or filler, the simple is you’re comparing apples to oranges.  They are two different products that provide different results.  As a client at Pink Ivy, you don’t need to worry about whether you need Botox® or filler.  We’ll figure that out for you during your consultation, educate you on why we’re using what we’re using and answer all your questions.

In the meantime, here’s a few common FAQs.

FAQs

Do cosmetic injections hurt?

We apply a numbing to ensure a comfortable experience.  Throughout the procedure, Amber will check in with you to make sure you’re doing ok and adjust as needed.

Will I look overdone?

You don’t have to!  Some people want to look completely flawless.  Others just want to feel refreshed without their results being too noticeable.  We can do both.  Amber is very conservative when it comes to how much product she uses.  Her philosophy is “we can always add more!” So, if you’re concerned about looking too perfect, mention in your consultation and we’ll be sure to adjust accordingly.

How much do cosmetic injections cost?

Price varies depending on the product we’re using. In general, prices are:

  • Dermal Fillers - Start at $650 per syringe

  • Botox® - $13 per unit

  • Dysport® - $4.50 per unit

Will I see same-day results?

In most cases, no. Results from Neuromodulators are not immediate. Results start to appear anywhere from 3 to 7 days post treatment, and it can take up to 2 weeks to see the final results with Botox®. When using Dysport®, you may see some results within 24-48 hours post procedure but you won’t see the full result until 2 weeks after.

You generally see immediate results with fillers.

How long do results last?

The longevity of your results will depend on a number of things such as the product we use and how quickly your body metabolizes it.  When we discuss which injection is the right fit for you during your consultation, we’ll also discuss how long the product should last.
